Summary
When Midoriya manifests a new quirk in the middle of the Joint Training battles, it's not the end of the world. When Uraraka goes down from a stray hit, though, it creates a domino effect of problems. Shinso comes at him, his eyes blown open into something dangerous, and Monoma is honestly surprised he doesn't activate his quirk then and there, pinning Monoma hard against the lockers, the thud reverberating painfully against his shoulders. Monoma swallows, his grin refusing to budge.
"Listen," Shinso sneers, voice low as it buzzes in Monoma's ears. "I know what you're trying to do here."
His grip gets tighter, eyes narrowing.
"But I know your heart is not in this."
