Summary
When a heavy storm hits the ship, Grace and Stratt find themselves forced into close proximity and repressed feelings accidentally come to the surface.
This changes some things, and spans over thirty years.—
(June; Ryland and Dr Lokken are flown to remote Alaska to participate in preliminary engine testing using astrophage fuel; they spend two weeks in the wilderness, evading bears and trying not to get into shouting matches in front of everyone. Rasmussen installs the improved and approved o-rings. Ryland discovers that he misses falling asleep with Eva in his bed. The first round of testing is successful; the night he returns to the ship, he and Eva fuck three times and end up talking instead of sleeping, anyway. She tells him that she missed him. He thinks that he might love her.)
(In July they nuke Antarctica. It’s hard to top that one.)

Summary
“Lots of Eridian view Grace Rocky bond ♪♫♪♬. This include Adrian.”
“No understand word, Rock.” Their relationship? What about their relationship? His heart skips. Their occasional language barrier is like getting a patch of static right at the good part of the show you’re invested in.
Rocky hesitates to speak for a moment. “New word: suspected mates.”
Grace’s world tilts on its axis. There’s just no way that’s right. He reaches up and drags his beanie off of his head. Only then did it feel right to implore, “…Your people think you and I are mates?”
Or
Ryland Grace spends years in space falling in love with his best friend and keeping it secret, convinced Rocky could not possibly feel the same. Rocky, always on the same page, is conducting identical research.
It’s why they’re such a great team.

You and your soulmate can hear each other’s thoughts when you’re in moments of extreme emotion — not all the time, just when your feelings are overwhelming. For you, it’s confusing. For J’onn, it’s terrifying, because Martians already struggle with intimacy and grief.

Summary
For Sideswipe, finding out he has a brother was one thing. Finding out said brother is his split-spark twin was another. Finding out that said split-spark twin was forged before the War of the Threefold Spark while Sideswipe wasn’t due to stigmas against split-sparks, which left Sideswipe’s spark locked away for megacycles while Sunstreaker fought in a war…? Yeah, Sideswipe has some feelings about that and would like to share them with someone, thanks. Unfortunately, Sunstreaker doesn’t seem interested in getting to know his younger twin brother.
Or: Sideswipe meets Sunstreaker, the twin he never knew he had but who he should have been with their whole lives. It goes about as well as he expected and worse than he’d secretly hoped.

Summary
It still seemed weird to Miko that you could drive for hours in America and be inside the same region. In the early days of her exchange here, she'd asked about it a lot. "Are we still in Nevada?" "Still Nevada?" "Still Nevada?" and the bleak desert landscape had stretched on and on and on, into the horizon and, apparently, forever.
[Miko and Bulkhead take a trip out to a drive-in theatre for a school project. Miko, at least, has a very educational night.]

Summary
The creature fully intended to destroy himself in the arctic. He walked, his creator in his arms, until enough wood could be found to build a funeral pyre. But as the pyre burned and the sun rose, he found himself waiting for just a few breaths more, captivated by the beauty of the dawn.
Frankenstein’s creation did not die in the arctic, but persevered, living on in the shadow of his nature and deeds but determined to build a new life, one perhaps a little less monstrous.Bookmarked by icedorange
