Summary
Steve takes in Bucky's betrayed look and Sam's confusion, follows Sam's gaze to the pile of mangled fruit in the trash can. Sudden comprehension fills his face.
"Oh," he says. "Bucky found out about bananas."
In which an American icon is mourned. But probably not the one you're thinking of.

Summary
“Oh, come on,” Grantaire scoffs, because 1) he’s an asshole and 2) having Enjolras’ furious gaze directed at him and only him is...something, to say the least. Intoxicating, if he’s feeling pretentious. And honestly, when is he ever not. “Pretty boy power prodigies like you benefit from this ’oppressive system’.”
“Grantaire,” Bossuet whispers frantically. “You maybe wanna, uh. Cut it out.”
He wants to do no such thing, thank you very much. He’s on a roll. But then he notices the telltale scent of smoke in the air. He notices the wisps of it coming from Enjolras’ clenched fists. Ah. Whoops.
-
Enjolras doesn’t like the Powered education system and Grantaire doesn’t even have a power. Together, they don’t fight crime, obviously. They mostly try their best not to burn the school down. Sky High AU.

Summary
Grantaire had never spoken about work in Enjolras’ hearing, and Enjolras had never really bothered to ask. The problem with this was the surprise he got about five minutes into his new job at American Bowl, the faux-American bowling alley on the edge of the tenth arrondissement.
Or, Enjolras is suddenly poor and needs a job, and Grantaire happens to work at the same place. They end up having actual conversations instead of just shouting at each other, and Enjolras realises that he actually kind of enjoys Grantaire's company. Cue meandering chatter and clumsy handling of feelings.

“We’re just having a bit of fun, man,” Thierry says.
“Are you?” Enjolras says, his voice admirably controlled, his lips pursed in anger.
“Actually, I think they were about to beat me up,” Grantaire blurts out, feeling inexplicably brave.

Summary
At the age of eighteen the first words your soul mate will ever say to you appear etched into your skin, they stay there forever and it means everyone always knows who their soul mate is the second they exchange their first spoken words. Everyone except Enjolras. When he turned eighteen there was nothing, not a word, not even a letter. But it’s been four years, he’s adjusted, he’s accepted the fact that he doesn’t have a soul mate, won’t ever meet the love of his life, and he is fine with that. Until he meets Grantaire. Summary
Grantaire’s first flower appears when he is two years old. It’s late, for a First Bloom, considering some children are born with their First already etched above their hearts, but Grantaire’s parents are warm and loving and wait to see what sort of child they have born unto the world.
His First Bloom, when it comes, is vibrant patch of yellow carnations. He is too young to know what it means, and his parents don’t tell him, just—withdraw, and a much smaller patch of yellow carnations appears on his mother’s ankle.

“Officially, we don’t have a leader, everyone here is equal,” Courfeyrac says, keeping his voice low as Enjolras starts his speech, “but if we did, and we don’t, it would be Enjolras.” He looks over to Marius. “Do not approach him. Let him come to you, let him be the first to initiate conversation, and for the love of God, do not mention soulmates.”

Summary
Yuuri's husband is possibly not as oblivious as he seems, because he grins and asks, "Have you never looked up Yuuri?"
"There's a porn actress with the same name who went into politics," says Nate, "so she's most of the results, and some stuff about figure skating."
"Some stuff about figure skating," Victor says ruefully to Yuuri.
(((A post-skating-retirement college scenario based on skygemspeaks' idea about Yuuri's college classmates learning about his figure skating career. I wrote a variation mostly because I just really wanted to include Victor in the mix. This also heavily draws on kevystel's ideas about Yuuri unknowingly breaking hearts everywhere he goes.)))

The first thing that catches Enjolras's eye when he enters the Musain Cafe for the first time is the walls. They're a dull black that it takes him a moment to realize must be chalkboard paint, because near the tables there are words and doodles, and all over, even the erased sections are stained with faint colored marks like the walls have soulmarks.

“So you want to use me to piss off your mom?” Kirishima summarized, raising one pierced eyebrow at Katsuki.
“Look, if you want to be all fucking judgy about it, I take cash,” Katsuki said, dropping his hand palm up on the table.
“Hey now,” Kirishima said, raising his hands in surrender, “I didn’t say I wasn’t doing it. I’m always down for a little chaos.” He flashed a grin, showing off his ridiculous shark teeth.
“Good,” Katsuki said. “We start tomorrow."
