Summary
Max is seen as mysterious, quiet, and, to some, even arrogant. He has a reputation for being mean — a jerk with no friends — which is strange considering he’s the one who’s been in the paddock the longest among his generation.
When the FIA decides to market the drivers (even more than they already do) as one big happy family, there’s a problem: Max doesn’t fit the narrative. None of them really know anything about him — what he does during the winter break, what he likes… nothing.
Seeing this, Charles decides to get closer. And that’s when he discovers the truth: Max is actually a sweetheart. A kind, gentle, and thoughtful guy — the complete opposite of what everyone thought of him.

“Are you worried I would ruin it? Look, that’s fair but you went to school for me. You had to deal with everything, and I’m sorry about that, but isn’t it only fair that I return the favor?” Tony huffed. He wasn’t making this any easier for him, and he certainly wasn’t giving up without a fight.
“Kid, you wouldn’t ruin anything. And second, you deal with that every day. There’s nothing to be sorry about. But… I just don't want you to be me.” That didn’t come out as intended.
Peter snapped, obviously hurt, “What does that even mean?” He studied Tony’s - or well, his own - face, trying to figure it out.

Peter and Tony swap bodies right before Christmas. Dealing with their own lives is difficult enough without having to live each other’s.

Summary
Ilya thinks about the last night they spent together, thinks about Shane splayed out on a hotel mattress pleading for his touch, thinks about how they hadn’t even kissed, and it starts as a strange little tickle in the back of his throat. Barely-there. He could ignore it if he wanted.
Then the intensity grows, flourishes into full-blow irritation, and suddenly he’s sputtering on his Coke and attracting the attention of the woman in the first-class seat across the aisle from him. He thinks it’s just some odd coughing fit, or that he inhaled his soda on accident, so he’s shocked when he feels something soft and smooth and triangular against his tongue.
It’s not until he spits the object into the napkin he’d received with his drink that he can see what it is: a long, thin, green leaf. A sepal.
As soon as Ilya realizes what he’s looking at, he’s flooded with dread.
Ilya's known these feelings were doomed from the start. He never thought they'd literally kill him.

Summary
Shane should be here right now, should be in Ilya’s house. Ilya should be teasing him about being picky while going through delivery options for food on his phone. Shane should be discovering that Ilya has ginger ale in the fridge and the protein bars Shane mentioned liking in an interview in his pantry. He should be making out with Shane on the couch, sneaking a hand into his pants, teasing him about whether they can beat the deliveryman and arrive before he does. Shane was supposed to spend the night tonight, the Montreal team not set to leave until tomorrow afternoon because of potential bad weather in the morning. Shane should be fed and showered and ready to curl up in bed with Ilya tonight.
But Shane is in a hospital.And Ilya is here.
He pulls up Jane in his phone again. He presses call.
“Hey, you’ve reached Shane Hollander-”
Ilya closes his eyes and lets Shane’s voice roll over him.

Summary
Shane suddenly remembered that Lisa was a doctor at a children’s hospital. He had a sinking feeling that it couldn’t be a good sign that she was talking to him using what he suspected was her doctor voice.
“It’s just a bad stomachache,” Shane told her.
He opened his mouth again to tell her that he’d had worse, but closed it when he realized that actually, that definitely wasn't true. He hadn’t ever felt anything like this. In fact, he was starting to think that breaking his collarbone again would be preferable to his current situation.
