"The sighs and groans stop suddenly and Shane’s stomach sinks. Fuck. Ilya is going to know that Shane is jerking off to him on the other side of the wall and he's going to hate him. This isn't how Shane imagined seducing him at all. He just couldn't fucking help himself.
Okay it's fine. It's explainable. He could just be walking through the room to get dressed and ready to go. Ilya doesn't have to know that Shane has the entire side of his body pressed into the wall on the other side of his bed. Sure, maybe the creak is too close to Ilya's side, but will Ilya really be able to tell how close? In apartment living noise just travels everywhere.
Just then, he hears the moans resume. And if he's not mistaken, they're a touch louder. Fuck, he's not imagining that, is he? Ilya is fucking louder. Not obviously so, but noticeable when you've got your ear desperately pressed to the wall like Shane does."
Or, Shane is down bad and engages in some manipulation and light stalking to get his man, and Ilya is very much okay with this. College AU but tbh there's not a ton of plot here lol.
Or, this author has seen some unhinged obsessive Ilya characterizations and wants more with Shane too.

“You are planning to rob me or what?” He hears Rozanov call, and he can’t help but smile slightly even as he rolls his eyes, closing the door to the linen closet and feeling strangely lighter than when he opened it, reassured that he’s just trying to read into a blank page, that today doesn’t mean anything more than Rozanov doesn’t mind him being around, which is strangely flattering.
“I don’t know,” he calls back. “Don’t Russians like diamonds and fur and stuff? Where should I start looking if I want to know what my options are?”
He hears Rozanov laugh, and it makes him smile.
When he joins him in the living room once more, Rozanov tugs him down to lean against him again. Shane goes easier this time, settling into it, knowing it doesn’t mean anything other than the fact that he just happens to be the closest warm body, the person on Rozanov’s roster who filled today’s slot.

I loved that they how the author took scenes and dialogue from the show, flipped it around and put them in new scenes so seamlessly 😍😍😍

Heat spread across Ilya's face. His mouth fell open slightly. He let out a short, stuttered laugh of disbelief. This couldn't- he was straight, he wasn't-
“Finally got you at your own game.” Shane's smirk widened to a smile, his hand clapping down on Ilya's shoulder to squeeze it slightly. For once in his life, Ilya was unable to find his voice.
“Damn.” Shane laughed, jostling him a bit. “If I had known this was all it took to get you to shut the fuck up, I would have started flirting back years ago.”

When old college friends Ilya and Shane show up to their mutual best friend's wedding, they are ready to fulfill their duties as bridesmen. Even after years of not seeing each other, they fall right back into their usual banter.
