    Bookmarker's Notes

Shane is a Raider and Ilya is a Metro, both their teams know they're married to each other and are supportive. The homophobic Metros (and captain) of Shane's past aren't on the team and they're friends with their teammates. They're also trying to change the future for better.

    Summary

What if after tuna melts, whispered names and the Rose of it all - in a post All Stars Game world - Shane thinks the world is finally starting to make sense again to him. Once the ground is firm under his feet - or so he thinks anyway - it's turns out to be less than stable? What if when Shane was getting his hook ups in Mexico and Hollywood - he wasn’t as unnoticed as he had originally thought?

When Montreal shows it’s true colors sooner, a No Trade Clause is waived and Boston gets an opportunity to build a dynasty that rivals the one of their largest rivals up North.

What if Shane and Ilya’s worlds are turned upside down and things with their over 8 year long situationship (now maybe relationship?) suddenly got more complicated and somehow simplified at the same time? Shane honestly thinks this is possibly the most ‘them’ resolution to a situation he has ever found. Ilya is just doing his best - he thinks. Maybe.

Also, the Power Play in Boston is about to be the thing of nightmares, if a certain Russian can stop blocking Shane's damn shot…

    Summary

Ilya Rozanov has been drafted by Boston, the number one pick overall, but his father doesn't want him moving to America and so takes steps to block his visa. He's going to have to go back to Russia and stay there forever and that, thinks Shane Hollander, is wrong.

It's so wrong that Shane can't stop himself from doing something about it. Even though that something is the most reckless, the only reckless thing he's ever done in his life. He marries Rozanov in secret, to keep him out of Russia and put him on a path to Canadian citizenship.

Shane's got a five-year plan to get him there and when you have a plan nothing can go wrong. Right? Right. When you have a solid plan and a marriage that's on paper only there's no risk of feelings getting involved. Not on Rozanov's part and certainly not on Shane's.

    Right???

    Bookmarker's Notes

Shane and Ilya get married for visa reasons then fall in love. They get outed and Scott Hunter comes out in support. Fans are mostly supportive, the league is mixed and they are both hardcore badass. Also Shane knows he's Shane Fucking Hollander and acts like it.

    Bookmarker's Notes

Metros and the league are more homophobic than cannon. The players are more gay. Shane and Ilya get married, they plan to Hayden their third, Vaughan, Kip and Scott are another trio and along with Svetlana and Cliff they make up the neurotic polycule that might be raising Arthur Pike. Shane's parents are more difficult in this one and Shane is becoming more unhinged and less willing to tolerate bullshit.

    Summary

When the unsentimental financial imperative of the NHL sees Shane traded to the Boston Raiders, he and Ilya are thrown into closer extended proximity than ever before. As they adjust to life as teammates, they are forced to contend with the nature of their relationship -and must answer for themselves: is it even a relationship at all?
    ____

Sliding down the wall, Shane hunched over his untied sneakers, shoved on hastily when Coach had called him in for a meeting after morning skate.

“Boston wanted you specifically. I’ve already spoken to their GM. You’re flying this evening or tomorrow morning: I’ll confirm once the paperwork clears.”

    “Mom,” Shane managed.

“Oh sweetie. I know, okay. Those fuckers, how dare they do this! Two fucking cups! Now all of a sudden they decide they want a reset and you’re going to fund it.”

Shane put his head between his knees and tried to breathe. God, Boston. They hated him there; it was so far away; he was fucking their captain.

    Bookmarker's Notes

Shane gets traded to Boston and lives with Ilya who is now his boyfriend. Neither of them are out but the team knows that Shane is his and they're sleeping together. Montreal didn't trade his because he's gay but because they overestimated their star power without him.
