Summary
Five years after the cataclysm, eighteen year old Zandik is recruited by the Fatui. Zandik and Feofan, separated by external forces, reunite five years later as different people. The love between two youths faded long ago and yet, they gravitate towards each other like the tide reaches out for the moon.
In the present, Il Dottore is already dead and only one person mourns him. With confessions and regrets stuck in his throat, Feofan searches for his corpse, praying for a chance to say goodbye one last time.

Marriage was never an option for them. Not when they're both fatui harbingers - the top ranks within Snezhnaya's military force. Such "love"(even if their archon is the god of love) is scandalous and forbidden when the goal is to literally overthrow the heavens themselves, much more so for the mad doctor and the greedy banker.
But that doesn't mean Dottore can't try, in his own little way, to have Pantalone for himself.
