Summary
Rensuke was weak-willed and weak-minded. He had still been clinging to the hope of becoming a superhero on the track, the childish ideology that he could win races by playing it nice and fair. He had a life outside of racing, other pleasures. Allowing himself to be like that off the track was a mistake.
He had already restricted all those elements of himself when behind the wheel. It wasn’t enough. He needed to completely destroy that version of himself. He needed to become Wildcard. permanently. Only then could he improve.
