With the Freljordian contingency already down a few Champions, it was only Miss Fortune volunteering to fill out their roster that allowed them to compete in the weekend's prize fights. That already would have made Ashe feel indebted to her. The fact that she'd gone on to actually win them the match on the fields only compounded the fact. Now she's trying to insist that the Avarosan queen doesn't need to remunerate her portion of the winnings at all.
Ashe isn't fooled for a second. Nobody in the League offers anything for free. Fortune has to want something. And Ashe wants her debt settled.

“I should have asked you first, I know, but it’s only temporary and it’s only for emergencies anyway—” because there’s Rhaenyra’s new bracelet, fresh out of the packaging and looking exactly like the old one except for the name Alicent Hightower engraved on the inside, with Alicent’s phone number underneath. “No, sure,” Alicent says, “That’s fine.” And it is. It’s fine.
(In which Alicent may or may not be in love with her roommate, and may or may not get a bit too curious about said roommate’s knotting toy.)
