Summary
The thought of Alphinaud crosses her mind just before the beast charges and her blood runs cold as she wonders what he would say if they find her here. He would never forgive himself and that’s what makes her tap her linkpearl twice, spitting out the blood in her mouth as she prays it’s not configured to Alphinauds line — it crackles loudly before Thancreds smooth voice comes from the other end and it nearly makes her sob in relief.
“Thancred here. What’s the matter?”
In the aftermath of the Dragonsong War the Warrior of Light takes on a hunt too much for her to handle, hoping it might grant her a measure of catharsis. Instead she ends up injured with Thancred coming to her rescue, leaving them stuck together in Coerthas. Will this be a chance for them to work out the tension between them?

Summary
Every person's aether has a different kind of warmth to it. Professional chirurgeons are often trained to suppress that flair, to keep the personal touch to a minimum and even then it’s always tinted in some way, traces of personality laced into the aether.
Thancred knows this, has felt dozens of different kinds of healing spells — sparks of heat, simmering boils, temperate winds — but nothing has made the same impression on him like Seike’s has.
He sinks into her aether like it’s a hot bath and he’s known nothing but cold until now. It warms inside out, unfurling like a flower in the morning sun.
After the Grand Melee, Seike follows Thancred back to his room, set on healing him after his fight with the cyclops — whether he feels like he deserves it or not.
