Summary
For months, Buck has been professionally harassed over dispatch by one infuriatingly calm operator with a smug voice, a superiority complex, and a deeply concerning habit of calling him sweetheart over an active emergency line.
Buck hates him.
Obviously.
Then he meets Eddie Diaz in person and unfortunately discovers that the smug voice comes with stupidly nice hands, unfair eye contact, and a thirteen-year-old son who immediately decides Buck is his problem now.
Worse, Eddie gets weirdly possessive every time someone else looks at Buck too long.
Worse than that, Buck likes it.
And when a bad call turns into a building collapse and Eddie has to listen to Buck trapped beneath it over an open dispatch line, suddenly none of it feels like a joke anymore.
Or: Buck and Eddie fall in love while arguing over city emergency communications, and literally everyone is tired of them.

So you might ask yourself, why now? What made me write and even send this letter after all? The answer is, as for many things in my life, my son. I was writing to him, and mentioned the stegosaurus thing you told me, about the size of its brain. So I mentioned you, too, and I realized: I want him to meet you. I want my kid to know you. Dios.
So, I decided to tell you that. And that I miss you. Because I do. We only had 5 fucking days together, but they were intense, to me at least.

EddieOR: Just before moving on to LA, Buck meets a soldier headed off to Afghanistan for the third time. The letters they keep exchanging do nothing, really, to make him feel less intensely for this ridiculously handsome man with an even cuter kid. Counting down the days to Eddie's return is a little unbearable, but he can deal with that - until the day his last, desperate letter is returned as undeliverable and his world shatters.

Summary
Nightwing drops his weapons and pounds against Superman’s chest with his fists. When he finally stops, Superman pulls the vigilante into a tight hug. The elder Leaguer cards his fingers through Nightwing’s hair. “I've got you,” he promises quietly.
The young hero pulls away just long enough to ask in a strained, desperate voice, “Why is he doing this?”
Dinah lowers her eyes. All she seems to do lately is intrude on Nightwing’s private moments. She slips back out the door, guilty to know just how broken up Nightwing is.
As much as they try to hide it, Dinah sees the strain on Nightwing and Flamebird's relationship lately. How the newest Robin fits in, she's not sure.
