Dennis barely contains a scoff. Crossing his arms he straightens, standing as tall as possible. Their height difference really doesn’t help Dennis, not when Robby is literally looking down at him all the time. “I wouldn’t have asked if I didn’t want to, Robby.”

The horrible, aching knot in his chest dedicated to Dennis was a piece of Robby that he tried, time and time again, to rip out. Always to no avail.
If he had anything to come back for, it’d be this one thing.
"Marry me," Robby said.
Robby, about to head out for his sabbatical and never return, thinks to hell with it—nothing matters except for the very real, very inappropriate feelings he's been harboring for his first-year resident. So he proposes. And before he can take it back, Whitaker says yes.

Robby hands him the paper silently.
Dennis reads it, rereads it, and then has to will himself not to drop it. The ground sways beneath his feet. "No fucking way."or, when Dennis and Robby unknowingly treat a patient carrying a strain of the plague, they have to be quarantined as the hospital goes into lockdown. But what are they going to do trapped alone for hours? And what happens when Dennis starts coughing?

This story is phenomenal! Genuinely so great! If authur sees this, which I hope they do as I was so excited to leave this as a comment and was so sad to see that they'd had to turn them off, I hope they know how incredible of a work this is.
For a start, over 20k words in one chapter is delicious!
So well written that a couple of times I genuinely went to Google the scenes written out as if to see images of them being played out before remembering I was reading a fic and not a transcript from actual screen because the characters were so true to themselves whilst being so fresh at the same time?
Love how scenes were repurposed without making them feel cheapened or tired. Can not wait to read more of this. Fantastic!!

These days they can't even be in the same room with one another without trading verbal jabs that intensify steadily until someone literally has to pull them apart. After a lot of deliberation, though, Penelope accepts Violet's invitation despite this fact. She figures they'll be staying in a huge house and there will be a crowd of other people to distract herself with. In another world, such a statement from one of the Ton’s most eligible gentlemen would have been a social death sentence for one Penelope Featherington. But not here….
Penelope has always had admirers, she is after all the sweetest of the Featherington sisters; intelligent, witty, and rather pleasing to the eye. The Bridgertons, however, have rather held a monopoly over Penelope, and it has been assumed by everyone and their mother that Penelope either did not want to marry (Eloise’s influence) or that she had been claimed already (Colin).
With his statement, Colin puts an end to the assumptions, and the latest Whistledown ensures that the rest of the Ton are aware. The new season rolls around. Colin has left the country, date of return unknown, and Penelope appears to still be on the outs with anti-marriage debutante Eloise, and so with no more possessive Bridgertons surrounding her at all times, open season is declared on Miss Penelope Featherington. The remaining Bridgertons run interference where they can, but are thwarted at every turn. Antics ensue.
