It’s weird riding on someone else’s broom, and not in a good way. Miriam stares at the ground, one hand gripping white-knuckled to the worn wood of the broom handle, the other curled over her aching side as she watches the world pass by. Patches of forests dotted with autumn colors next to fields of rippling grass and dots of colorful flowers. Lakes and ponds and towns and little houses all surrounded by nature. It would be pretty, if Miriam wasn’t so acutely aware of how close it all is to being destroyed. And instead of helping save it, she’s here. On Vivian’s broom, going home. To Delphi. Like a coward. Because she’s scared of...what? Telling Kiwi that she has feelings?
...pathetic.

Summary
The light bounces strangely off of silvery webs. Delicate strands of silk, draping from the walls and from the ceiling. dangling, swinging slowly through the air, shimmering with a bit of their own light. Tapestries, faded and tattered, hang over the plinth where Herrah sleeps. The emblem of her mask is woven into the old fabric. Six eyes, narrow and sharp. Dust motes lazily drift through the air, catching on the silken strands of webs and staying.
And then there is Herrah. Even asleep, she is imposing. Ghost knows that the title of Beast must not have been for nothing. They cannot imagine her as anything but a warrior, truly. Why did she sleep? She had her own kingdom to protect. Why sacrifice herself for Hallownest’s sake? -
