But when she sidles up to the bar she sees an unexpected person. Kara Danvers is sitting there, a drink in front of her, ignored as she looks around the club with a frown. Her eyes land on Lena for a moment then slide past her, and Lena knows the image inducer is working perfectly. There's no other way her best friend wouldn't recognize her, wouldn't jump up and ask what she's doing in a gay club.
Now the question is, what is Kara Danvers doing in a gay club?
Or: After the Daxamite invasion but before Reign, Lena tests her company's image inducer and runs into a familiar face. Confessions ensue.

“Lena?” Kara asks tentatively. “Um, can you maybe- I don’t know. Maybe, say something? It’s okay if you don’t feel the same-”
And then Lena actually begins hitting her head on the metal desk.
“Lena!” Kara rushes forward to stop this horrifying turn of events, but Lena stands abruptly, placing her hands on her hips, and fixes Kara with a glare that stops the superhero in her tracks.
“Seriously, Kara?” Lena’s CEO persona is in full effect, one arched eyebrow demanding attention, voice dripping with annoyance.
“Um, yes?” Kara adjusts her glasses again and shuffles her feet, fully aware she’s displaying all of her nervous tics at once.
“Seriously?” Lena asks again. “Now?”Or Kara accidentally blurts out how she feels about Lena, and Lena doesn't take it well.

Lena’s voice is but a whisper, almost getting carried away by the wind. Kara doesn’t speak but she hugs Lena a bit tighter and kisses her head once more, she’s here, listening.
"I think I want to try again."
"Lena… I don’t know…"
Lena gets out of Kara’s arms to look her in the eyes.
"Please, Kara. One last time."
OR
Kara and Lena are married, they both found a home with each other, but Lena can't get pregnant, no matter how many times they try. It's hard, it's painful, but it's all going to be alright because in the end, they have each other.
