Michael's life is perfectly normal. He's a perfectly normal, well-adjusted, absolutely-not-traumatized teenager in 1989. He is liked. He has friends. His parents like and look out for him. And his friends' parents like him even. His life is perfect, happy, and comfortable. No one would hate him here. There is asbolutely nothing here that would make him miserable! NOTHING!
Michael gets to have a normal high school life. Terrible teachers, hanging out with friends, applying to college, girls, and PROM! All he needs to worry about is who his date will be. And who shall she be? Who is the lucky girl? There surely wouldn't be any boys on his mind? That wouldn't be normal then, wouldn't it?
Michael's life is perfect. He should be grateful for all that I've done for him. He should be happier now.

Will Byers has always had a hard time with other kids his age, and it's only worsened as he's gotten older. All he's ever wanted was to belong. After recieving his Hogwarts letter, it felt like things would be looking up for him.
Mike Wheeler comes from a family of pure bloods. Whilst feeling pressure from his parents, he'd been looking forward to Hogwarts. Getting his letter was one of the happiest moments of his life.
