Chan feels the burn of shame as it rises up his cheekbones. He’s so pale nowadays that he wonders if the color is even visible to Jeongin.
“This is not for you to worry about, Innie. Go back to sleep.”
Jeongin’s eyes grow sad. “You’re just going to keep going, aren’t you? When does it stop, hyung? When we find you unconscious in your studio?”
“I-" Chan swallows. Guilt sits thick in his throat like bile. “You’re exaggerating, Yen. Listen to hyung, okay? I know my own limits.”

“Where-” Seungmin fumbles with Minho’s wrists, voice cracking. “Where are you hurt?”
Minho laughs then, the sound bubbling dry and hoarse from the depths of his throat. He lifts his bleeding hand, and Seungmin’s eyes latch to limb in horror. Minho shakes his head.
“No,” he says, and his eyes are wet again. “Here.” He presses the hand to his chest, to the cavernous hole that hides behind layers of clothing and skin. “Here. Hurts here, Seungmin.”
Or; Minho falls in love with Seungmin. Seungmin shows Minho how to love himself.

Seungmin looks down at his hands, sees the torn skin over his first two fingers where Jeongin is referencing. He swallows. "Oh.”
Or; Seungmin's just taking care of his body. He has his new schedule, he has a plan. If it involves losing a little weight in the process, then no harm done. He thinks.

“Bin,” Chan says again, a low warning.
Changbin spins on his heels, disposition breaking. “What do you want, hyung?” He bursts, anger diminished by the way his voice cracks miserably around the words.
Chan’s taken aback, lips parting as Changbin’s own mouth snaps shut — he never knew grief could be such a fickle, uncontrollable thing.
Or; When Changbin gets the call about his mother’s passing, he chooses to keep it to himself; that is, until things escalate.

“You’re okay. There was an accident but you’re in the hospital now. What’s your name?” Minho asked, to calm himself as much as the dying guy he held in his hands.
“…Jisung,” the man whispered.
“Okay, Jisung,” Minho said, grounding himself in it. “I’m Minho.”
“Are you a ghost?”
“I’m not,” Minho told him. “And neither are you.”
In which Jisung almost dies in an accident, and nurse!Minho becomes a little too invested in his recovery for it to stay strictly professional.

Summary
With their next comeback fast approaching, tensions are high and everybody is stressed. After accidentally causing an injury to one of his members at dance practice, Seungmin goes back to their dorm alone. Feeling guilty, even though he knows it’s not his fault, he tries to make dinner for his members. Hiding his own injured wrist and not expecting the knives to be as sharp as they are, Seungmin cuts himself badly, but not wanting to be a burden, he doesn’t alert anyone. When the others finally come home, they’re in for a bad surprise when they find their second youngest sitting in his own blood in the middle of the kitchen.

“Chan-ah,” he starts hesitantly, “the door-”
“I know, Minho.”
It almost seems like the words were forced out of his mouth– he flinches, eyes widening like he hadn't expected to say anything at all. Minho doesn't think he's ever seen that look on Chan’s face before, like his body is trying to eject itself from the conversation and his brain wants to keep him there.
He should probably ask, but Minho is Minho and Chan is Chan, and there will always be things that just won't happen between them.
“Close it, then.”

The world is coming to an end, and no one but Seungmin knows it yet.
He doesn’t expect them to know. There hasn’t been a sighting of some world-shattering meteor making its way to earth; there isn’t some deadly virus going around without a cure to take care of it; the antichrist hasn’t suddenly appeared. There isn’t a single sign that the world is about to end, and Seungmin doesn’t know how to warn his friends.
