Summary
15-year-old Shouto Todoroki often has nightmares of his past. It mostly follows the same story: his father training his five-year-old self to the point of him getting sick, his mother coming to comfort him and his father abusing her instead as a result of her interference. This leading into his mother's crazed eyes before she scars his face with boiling water... but this night is different. Before his mother can intervene, someone swoops in and saves him, a teenaged boy with green hair and kind eyes. After that, he encounters the boy in his dreams again several times and oddly enough it seems that Shouto is the only one who can remember him in this so-called dream world.

When Izuku is told to give up on his dreams he finds he finds no reason to continue hoping. He decides instead maybe he can help people in another way, and starts sharing his analysis rather than pursue his useless dream to be a hero.
Izuku couldn’t be a hero. That’s what they all said- what they still say, because how can you be a hero without a quirk? But heroes don’t always wear capes and to so many, he already is one.
So when he’s told he might have a chance, why wouldn’t he take it?
