    “Eddie, man, you’re out of the band.”

    Eddie Munson gets kicked out of his own band and is left adrift and with nothing left to lose, so when the opportunity to impersonate his friend Gareth and take a job as a sub teacher at a rich kid school comes up, he only thinks of it as one more stupid decision to add to a long list of stupid decisions, and goes for it. He doesn't account for the consequences, or for the kids being a bunch of amazing little shits, or for Principal Steve Harrington being a walking wet dream.

    Eddie Munson was once a legendary rockstar. Okay, legendary might be a stretch. But he had his fifteen minutes of fame in the 2010s with Corroded Coffin, and their first album even produced a hit or two… ten years ago.

    Now, his career is dead and buried, he's broke, and the only offer on the table from his agent—and best friend—is a sketchy reality show about has-been celebrities trying to make a comeback. The last thing Eddie wants is to become a national joke (again), but bills don’t pay themselves, so he reluctantly accepts. Which leaves him to be the newest headache for Steve Harrington, a determined producer trying to keep the show from falling apart. Steve finds himself getting way too close to the grumpy former rockstar: maybe because he still remembers his face on posters, his voice on TV, and his name all over the trending topics of the (may it rests in peace) Twitter.

    Between manipulative edits, unexpected flirting, and a production team that could turn a coffee order into a full-blown soap opera, the two of them get tangled up in a mess that was definitely not in the script.

    On December 23rd, Steve invites Eddie to a Christmas Eve sleepover taking place at the Byers house. Eddie is excited to go, as he and Wayne are not doing much that year for the holidays. The whole party will be there, for a fun night of Christmas movies, baked goods, and gift exchanges. But things aren't going to go as planned, when Hawkins is hit with a massive snowstorm.
    Being snowed in at the Byers house on Christmas should be a fun experience, but things quickly become complicated when Ted Wheeler is suspected of turning into a zombie.

    It’s not that he’s not thrilled for his best friend, or doesn’t want to be part of his big day. Henry wouldn’t miss Pez’s wedding for the world, and it’s going to be a wonderful day. But these days, weddings mostly serve to remind Henry of how far away something like that is for him. He hasn’t had a serious boyfriend in years, and he’s not getting any younger.

    It’s fine. It’s just one day, after all. He just has to focus on Pez, on being happy for him and Liam, and he’ll make it through.

    (After traveling to Texas for his best friend's wedding, Henry makes some questionable decisions, meets a gorgeous and intriguing stranger, and ends up kissing said stranger beneath the starlit sky. It's not a bad day. But maybe not the one he intended to spend the rest of eternity in.)
