Summary
You are standing in the judgment hall, and the human child shambles towards you. Their feet drag on the tile, barely echoing in the sound-crunching abyss of the chamber. Your small, quiet, soundless breaths are louder than their jerky movements.
They tilt their head up to you, their eyes closed and mouth quirked into an unreadable, indecipherable expression.
You are unsure of how long you’ve been doing this.
You know it’s been a while.
Sans, and the consequences of balancing the scales.

Summary
His face is still clear, standing at a height that protects his head from the sun. The color of his lips is impossible to make out behind the heavy coating of his blood, and his yellow hair is tousled and matted with dried bits of flesh and gore.
Atsumu stares at him with hazel eyes that look terribly, horribly, sickeningly alive.
Atsumu is dead. Osamu lets him go.

Summary
No one on the team has mentioned it to him yet, and he prefers to keep it that way. They likely don’t remember that he and Oikawa Tooru, #13 of the Men’s Argentina National Volleyball Team, played on the same team in high school. And even if they do, they certainly wouldn’t know that they were closer than just the ace and his setter.
If God truly loves him, his team will stay both ignorant and away from him.
When Miya Atsumu sits down next to him, propping his chin on the heel of his hand and staring at him with an unnervingly knowledgeable gaze, Iwaizumi knows that God has forsaken him.
Or; it's the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics, and the Volleyball Olympic gold matchup is between Argentina and Japan. Iwaizumi Hajime, the athletic trainer for the Japanese Men's National Volleyball Team, observes the #13 Argentinian setter from afar. He tells his team that he doesn't know Oikawa Tooru as well as he used to, and he tells himself that the concern he feels for his estranged best friend is just his mind playing cruel tricks.
Until Sakusa Kiyoomi, outside hitter for Team Japan, convinces him otherwise.

Summary
“Do you want to come over?” He asks softly, one arm wrapping loosely around his middle. “Most people have gone home. There’s…” He pauses. “We have some orange juice left. The kids couldn’t drink the rest. It’s yours if you want.”
Oikawa takes a moment to respond. “I’ll be over in twenty minutes. Want me to bring anything?”
“We’d be happy if it’s just yourself,” he says, and he wishes he could blame the tenderness in his voice on intoxication.
Iwaizumi Hajime hosts a party to celebrate his promotion to working for Team Japan's Men's Volleyball Team. When the party dims and most people have left, he invites Oikawa Tooru over.

Summary
Gojo smiles at Megumi, whose eyebrows are raised in anticipation. “Megumi, you have a lot to learn about revenge. What is the one thing a self-absorbed, cheating man loves more than anything in the whole world?”
“His dick,” he responds confidently.
“No!” Satoru laughs and points a finger at Megumi’s nose, watching as he goes momentarily cross-eyed. “Good guess. I’d put that at number two. But Megumi, dear, you must understand. There is nothing he is more prideful of than his car.”
In which Tsumiki gets cheated on and, really, Gojo has been waiting to destroy a bitch's Maserati.

Summary
It isn’t the principle of missing out on the festival, it’s having to answer Tsumiki’s imploring question, “Why can’t you take us to the festival?” with a flippant laugh and a lie. He wants nothing more than to lie on the grass or stand in the streets and watch the dazzling fireworks with them. But as soon as the first fireworks explode, followed by smaller pops and shattered lights, he thinks that the dirt and grass shards are hiding landmines, or that snipers are blowing off his comrades' heads from the broken-glass buildings. The streets are empty save for the scared civilians holding automatic rifles and enemy soldiers with orders to leave no one alive.
Gojo can’t go to festivals. He can’t listen to the sound of fireworks in his own home without diving under his kitchen table and plugging his nose to hide his panting breaths. Experience has taught him to stay in his closet and keep his headphones and blanket on, no matter how his heart breaks as the children’s faces pull into resignation when he denies them yet another festival.
Gojo Satoru, a young, decorated veteran, is petrified of fireworks.

Summary
“I don’t want to read this,” Itadori continues. “Just that one paragraph, and I—” He breaks off, his thumb pausing at the base of a flower bud on the cover. “Did you expect to find yourself in these pages?”
Megumi startles, and Itadori swallows thickly.
Did you expect to find yourself in these pages?
It has something to do with the way Megumi never smiled right, always full of anger and resentment and apathy for the man who raised him and the man who didn’t. He rarely attempted to express happiness, and when he did, it looked unnatural and foreign.
“I… I don’t know,” he admits.
Sukuna is successfully exorcised without killing his vessel, but Fushiguro Megumi is left in a comatose state. His soul has a decision to make.

Summary
“Itadori?” Fushiguro calls, and Itadori nearly jumps out of his skin. His hand reflexively grips the doorknob he’d been staring at. His friend narrows his eyes at him with a frown playing at the edge of his lips. “Everything okay?”
Before Itadori can open his mouth to respond, Sukuna cuts coldly into his thoughts. ‘He’ll think you’re weak. Useless. Why can’t you enter your room alone? Because you’re scared of something that isn’t there?’
It’s new, the way that Sukuna interacts with him.
“Nothing!” Itadori replies. “I was just lost in thought!”
Sukuna takes a brand-new approach to obtaining full control over Itadori's body: paranoia.

Summary
He prods the “floor” with one of his fingers absently. His heart is pounding and his veins are thrumming with anxious energy. It feels like he’s moving fast, but without going anywhere at all. Like a plane ride, except he’s watching the land and sky shatter into a million pieces and whip by his window. And it’s not that he’s an anxious person or that his psyche breaks easily, but he has the incomprehensible sensation of his mind scattering, running away with his thoughts.
It’s not a pleasurable experience by any means. However, he’s not being actively tortured, so he considers that an absolute win.
No torture.
His heart picks up the pace, and his breathing grows shallow.
No torture.
Something isn’t right.
Gojo Satoru is sealed in the Prison Realm and everything goes great until he realizes he's running out of oxygen. Worse yet, there's nothing he can do about it.

Summary
To be immortal is to be oppressed, as Atsushi has learned for his a thousand years on Earth. Once people learn that he cannot die, he becomes something other than human. Not greater than, certainly. If they think he is a god, then he wouldn’t be treated as he is. He wouldn’t be used as a sword and shield, an experiment, or an animal. They wouldn’t dare hunt him down as an escaped prisoner or wild game.
Immortals Atsushi and Akutagawa meet in the midst of a war in ancient Japan and soon set sail to travel the world together. Unfortunately, not all cultures view immortals in the same light as the clans of their homeland, and soon they fall into trouble during the height of the Crusades.

Summary
A few pathetic tears slip down his face. This time from sorrow — any pain he feels has become a monotonous throb hidden behind the heavy pounding of his heart. His mouth dries out, and a headache builds at the base of his neck. Yet, he is utterly alone. Though it’s morning, his world is dark and contained in a cement coffin underneath the floorboards of his volleyball gym.
Oikawa doesn’t know if he’ll ever be able to step foot in this place again once this is over. If he even gets out of here.
He presses his head as close as he can to the ground to relieve his nose of any kind of pressure, and he tries to sleep. Tries. He’s not very successful. More than anything, he’s bored and alone with only his thoughts to keep him company. No music, no entertainment, nothing. Just him, unbearable pain, and his incessant inner voice.
Or; Oikawa Tooru is mugged after volleyball practice and becomes the next victim in a cat-and-mouse game between a criminal and the police. Being tucked away underneath the floorboards of his practice court, Oikawa can no longer escape the overbearing feelings he has for his best friend. Iwaizumi Hajime tries to find his best friend before it's too late.

Summary
Dazai Osamu is cursed.
It didn’t take him long to figure out. After his second suicide attempt which should have, for all intents and purposes, succeeded, he realized that there must be something deeply wrong with him. Outside of the obvious, of course. He tested his theory again and again, and honestly, he’s never stopped trying. There’s a little voice in the book of his head always wondering if this may be the one suicide to work, or that may pull through.
Mori promised to deliver him a drug that would kill him. That was the second attempt. The boss went through with his debt to Dazai. After all, Dazai did join the Port Mafia under the pretense of a life six feet underground. If he didn’t, Dazai would’ve made himself scarce immediately.
It should have worked.

Summary
“You aren’t going to kill me, are you?” Atsushi asks. Skin crinkles where the man’s eyebrows should be, and he crouches down to get a hold of Atsushi’s shoulder. His hands are cold to the touch, and his fingers press painfully through his shirt and into his skin.
“I’m beginning to think you’re mentally deficient. Stop squirming,” he demands, and Atsushi stills in his grip. “I’m trying to help your miserable ass.”
“I’m being hunted,” he blurts again because his mouth keeps moving without consulting his thoughts first.
"Fukuchi,” the man says. “It’s time that mutt gets put down.”
Atsushi is being hunted in the wilderness by a world-renowned hunter hell-bent on putting Atsushi's stuffed corpse in a display case to show his talents in hunting every type of animal in the world, including humans. During the chase, Atsushi falls into a hidden pit and meets a person already living there. Akutagawa is willing to extend his help, with only one price to pay:
Atsushi must not only escape, but kill Fukuchi.

Summary
“How do you plead?” The judge asked, tone even and face neutral.
“Guilty,” Dazai replied. There would be no talking or bartering his way out of the court — his crimes could not be erased now that the entire government knew. Ango had done what he could all those years ago, but the Hunting Dogs, though exposed for their treasonous plot, did irreparable damage to his name. Saving the world does not negate the hundred lives he took and the two hundred he conspired to kill.
Being an invaluable member of the Armed Detective Agency and killer of Fyodor Dostoevsky does not save him from the death penalty.
The crimes unveiled by the Hunting Dogs do not simply disappear. They stay, and Dazai Osamu is convicted in court of one hundred and thirty-eight murders, three hundred and twelve counts of extortion, and six hundred and twenty-five cases of fraud.

Summary
The lights are turned on.
It would be an insignificant thing if it weren’t for the fact of it being light. The bulbs burn overhead and illuminate the off-white walls of his room. Posters of the Trojan Exy team and paintings of France's scenery hang as a source of decoration, and notably, none of it is black. His sheets are crimson red to match the USC color theme. It’s not black, and it’s not a red so deep it may as well be the blood seeping from his various scabbed scars.
And the light makes Jeremy’s blind hair shine like the sun. His blue eyes flick back in forth from Jean’s face to his hands, and Jean realizes he’s shaking. His hands hover over the place Jeremy touched — the exact location of the inked number three on his left cheek. The placement serves to protect his chest and face from his stretched arms.
It’s pathetic, yet he can’t bear to let go of his only protection.
Jean's trauma doesn't magically go away after transferring to USC. It stays with him and haunts his nightmares.

Summary
Souls scream into Xiao’s ears and tear apart his skin like they were still living creatures, able to lay into him with claws, teeth, and sharp blades of stone and steel. Blood pours from a shoulder wound he has yet to heal. Dimly, he knows that he’ll never be able to heal it. His energy is depleted, and he’s barely able to drag his feet across the grasslands of Liyue. Or is it sand?
All he can focus on is the state of his body and the overbearing weight of a thousand murdered gods, their karmic debt reaping his soul with cursed blades. He sees each other their deaths clearer than the world he walks on. Xiao feels the pain they endured when he plunged his spear into their wretched, burning bodies. They scream, and he barely registers his own whimper in turn.
The day that Xiao almost died and Venti healed him via magic flute. Anonymously, of course.

Summary
“You’re going to get sober on your own or someone in this Agency will make you. It won’t be me,” he said, his eyes glinting with an emotion akin to pity, “but that’s only because they’ll do it before me.”
Fukuzawa doesn’t joke very often. If he does, it’s more likely than not on the topic of pet animals. True to Dazai’s observation, the very next day after work he found a week’s worth of canned food, raw meat, bread, and other condiments stacked in his apartment. His windows were boarded and the door locked behind him immediately.
When Dazai flipped the peephole cover open, he saw a grinning Ranpo waving. He then placed one hand on his hat and the other on his hip. “I’m sure the President warned you already, so I won’t spare any details. I’ll come back when you’re done!” He called.
The Armed Detective Agency is strict on substance abuse, and the newly-joined Dazai has a severe addiction. They handle it in the only manner that Dazai will accept.
