“Hit me doc, how bad is it?” Whatever it is they can get through this, they have each other. His hand, without realizing it, lifts up and Armand grasps it in his own in a split second, squeezing with a might that is bordering on bone breaking.
“It would appear Mr Molloy, that congratulations are in order,” Dr Bhansali smiled for the first time that evening, like he wasn’t about to shatter their worldview. “You’re pregnant.”

“Daniel is pregnant," Armand says, and Louis feels like the world around them stills.
It creeps up on him, that white-hot, desperate anger, the kind that makes Louis’ throat ache from screaming so hard. His hands suddenly itch with the desire to strike something - the wall, himself, Armand, maybe even Lestat - and he digs his nails into his palms. Blood trickles down Louis’ fingers, landing in drops on the floor. Armand watches.
“I haven’t stopped thinking of the pain you felt,” he carefully continues. “That you feel - and I needed to say it, Louis.” Armand meets Louis’ gaze. “What I did to Claudia-”
“You don’t say her name,” Louis nearly growls the words. Armand looks at his feet, head hung in shame.

Daniel is pregnant with Armand's daughter, prompting Armand to seek Louis' forgiveness. Louis can't bring himself to give it to Armand, but he can't seem to cut the invisible strings between them either.
