Summary
Post nuclear apocalypse is a reality. Charlie clings to his journals.
He HAS to stay nomadic for his own safety, he won't let what happened to Wilbur befall anyone else.
The tapes give him something to do and keep him from going crazy, even if he's just writing and talking to himself. He leaves them in his bases, where he stops off every once in a while to sleep in a warm bed with blankets and make food that doesn't taste like smoke and cinders. He likes to keep logs of everything that happens, and it helps him gauge how long his trips take.
You make a break for an old apartment building to hide from a giant hoard. You find a nice-looking apartment that seems lived in, but not for quite some time.
You CAN'T go back home for your health, mental and physical. There are too many mutants; too many memories.
There are a few framed photos of different people, friends of the person who lived here. You find a voice recorder on a bookshelf as you start to snoop around. It's some mysteriously chipper guy, documenting where he's going, all over the state. You listen to the whole log, trying to get to know the guy. He's funny, kind and sweet. You decide to follow him; you know his next stop.

just as the title states. probably a lot of fnc and swordfish shorts bc i do love me some gay pirates. (also swordfish my beluvd *gently holds*)
some of them will be cohesive together, but it's not like a straight-up story and there's no order to the chaos. i'm literally just brain rotting and the first four one shots were somehow perfectly cohesive without trying.
