Shane moved beneath him to sit up. “Hey um, I want to talk about something. Something new–”
Ilya’s eyes widened as he sat up and gently cupped Shane's chin to face him. “New? What do you mean?”
Heat rose over Shane's face. “Yeah. Like sexually.”
Ilya let the silence stretch before realizing that Shane wouldn't fill it without prodding. “Shane. We have been over this. You can talk to me about anything.”
“I'm pretty sure you'll be into this. We have already talked about it.”
The pieces clicked together in Ilya’s brain as he realized there was only one option. But it couldn't be possible, not when Shane had vehemently slammed the door shut on this at the cottage. “Wait. You want to have a threesome?”
Shane blushed an even deeper shade of crimson. “Yeah. I know I said no before but, I can't stop thinking about it,” he confessed.

Summary
Hayden kisses Jackie on the cheek, then peers over Shane’s shoulder at the batter.
“Is it supposed to be that lumpy, man?” He asks it so innocently, like maybe it is supposed to be lumpy. Like maybe he just doesn’t know what batter is supposed to look like. Shane supposes he probably doesn’t. He’s never seen Hayden make anything more complicated than a protein shake.
Shane hangs his head. “No.”
Hayden laughs, Jackie laughs, and the kids clamber all over him to get a peek at the lumpy mixture.
“That looks yucky,” Ruby observes with an air of wisdom from where she has managed to climb onto Shane’s back.
“I don’t want to eat that,” her twin agrees from her mirrored position on Hayden.
Jackie looks at Shane pityingly.
“Shane, sweetie, I’m sure Ilya will be happy with anything you plan for him. Does it have to be a meal?”
Shane glowers. “Yes.”

Summary
Sirius Black has never met a silence he didn’t want to fill with a bad joke, a cigarette, or a questionable hookup.
Remus Lupin, on the other hand, studies silences like they’re something sacred—catalogues them, respects them, knows when to leave them alone.Sirius is grieving. Or maybe just aggressively not-grieving. He’s tired, a little unhinged, probably smells like lavender-scented mold, and trying (sort of) to tick off a self-improvement list that mostly reads like someone shouted “healing” into a Pinterest board.
Then there’s Remus: tall, annoyingly clever, half-thrifted academic boy who smells like lemons and has zero patience for Sirius' rich-boy nihilism.
This is a story about grief, group counseling, guilt, weird eye contact, sweaty concerts, mildew apartments, and two idiots who share a bit too much trauma. It’s about how sometimes the quiet people see you clearer than anyone else. And how maybe, just maybe, that turns out to be terrifyingly right.THE STORY IS NOW COMPLETE.
