Summary
Slumped entirely on top of Kaeli as soft sounds of her breathing fill Kaeli's ears. In the next moments, holding Claudia like this, a wrecked and broken sound leaves Kaeli. It is hard to muffle the sounds of her sobbing. Claudia is so close like this, and Kaeli doesn't want to disturb her. Knowing she must feel exhausted after all she's had to do. Kaeli feels her shoulders shaking with each withheld sob, but she stifles all of her sounds.
Or: Claudia returns to their room with blood on her and Kaeli can barely hold herself back. It isn't the smell or the blood or the sight of it really, it's just the fact that it's on Claudia when she should never be stained with blood. While holding Claudia tight, she tries to reconcile her feelings and the future reality of everything.

“Am I being too bold here?” Zeal asks, eyes looking back at Kaelix’s. There’s no fear or hesitation in his eyes, only affection, and it makes Kaelix internally shudder.
