“Before we continue this conversation, Ms. Robin, I must make a few rules clear. Rule number one–” Out of the corner of his eye, Anaxagoras notices Sunday failing to suppress a smile– “Do not call me Anaxa. Rule number two: Never interrupt me. Silence is golden.”
He watches Robin’s reaction carefully. Most people he introduces his rules to would scoff at his “disgusting pride” or would mock his “ridiculously pointless” rules. Robin merely smiles as she eats a pudding tart, her amused look strongly resembling Sunday’s. In fact, looking at them next to each other, their family resemblance is stronger than ever. After a moment, she says, “I see. Thank you for telling me, Mr. Anaxagoras.”
