Summary
“I’ll do it,” Eddie repeats, looking at Buck in one of those silent conversation ways again, but Buck actually can’t figure out what he’s trying to say this time. It messes with his brain, until Eddie speaks again, “I’ll pretend to only be a little offended none of you have thought to ask me before, but Buck, I’ve fixed a lot of cars. I can look at yours.”
(or, the check engine light comes on in Buck's Jeep, Eddie volunteers to fix it and carpool with him in the meantime, and it all breaks down from there, literally and metaphorically)

Summary
But now he’s looking at this video, years later; he watches as the camera steadies and zooms in. It’s chaos and it happens in the blink of an eye, but at the center of it the lens settles on the familiar reflective flash of turnouts.
There’s a firefighter on their knees in the mud as rain beats down over the whole scene in steady, drenching sheets.
It’s only when his voice tears through the noise that Eddie realizes he’s looking at Buck.
Eddie finds the video footage of the well collapse; he finds that he has to do something about it.
