Hermione Granger is set to begin her new life moving from France to England after accepting a new position as an unspeakable in the Department of Mysteries. She’s determined that this will be a new start for her and intends not to lock herself away with work. With this in mind, she accepts a challenge from Crookshanks (or shall we say mean meow) and attempts to go on a date with a muggle. Things do not go as planned.

Summary
Bilbo never got along with the other hobbits after his parents died, and is one of the rare hobbits to be completely disowned by his jealous kin. When he joins Thorin's Company on their mad quest, he finds himself welcoming the sense of inclusion that accompanies this band of dwarves (some more welcoming than others). What he doesn't expect is the ancient occurrence of Adapting to take effect - in which one cast out from their own race adapts to fit the race that has accepted them! Now, not only must Bilbo face up to orcs and dragons, he must also come to terms with his new family and learn what it means to be a dwarf, and a Durin no less.

Part Two of the Bear and Hobbit Series
It is not easy being a Hobbit who hates heights and running. Especially not one who is being chased by orcs, wargs, a giant man-bear, spiders, and elves- not to mention the barrels and greedy Laketown men. Oh yes- and bonus an angry Dragon.
Dwalin and Balin had better be grateful, because they made the choice to join Thorin on this Quest, and both of them would be long dead without her.
Now if only she could force Gandalf to stick around long enough to actually help.Series

"So, listen, James Bond, would you be interested in trying a beer-batter bacon crunch cupcake? I'm totally experimenting right now, and I decided experimenting with cupcakes is better than experimenting with meth, so..." Max trailed off as he moved to accept his coffee with his left hand.
