Resonance: noun (res·o·nance) (rez-uh-nuhns) : A natural alignment between a caster and spell, allowing for easier casting and manipulation of one's resonant magic-type.
In rare cases, resonance can manifest as a mutual connection between two or more casters, often resulting in enhanced power levels, mutual stability, and/or compatibility between other magic-types.-
Satoru, still seated, absentmindedly formed the same casting sign as Suguru without looking. It was reflex at this point, muscle memory responding to familiar motions with natural reciprocity.
The timing aligned.
For a moment, the space between them snapped taut. No violence or rejection following their odd moment of connection, just the clean compliance of two complementary forces aligning. The construct settled with unusual clarity, edges smoothing as though guided into place rather than forced there.
