Summary
They all look a bit weary, a bit rough around the edges, a bit scared. But every single one of them has a look of determination on their faces, of the grim resolve that they will see this through to the end, no matter the cost. They will either emerge victorious or die fighting.
Anything less would not be fair to the world.
(Then again, why is it on them to save the world from tyranny? On a group of teenagers and barely adults? That isn't fair.
But the world has never cared about fairness. At least not in the last century, and fuck it, someone needed to make a stand rather sooner than later.)

Summary
It’s been hard to think, since Katara showed up without notice yesterday evening with a storm in her eyes, a raised chin daring him to turn her away, and barely anything else.
(Seven years after Sozin's Comet, Zuko and Katara marry. It's a mutually beneficial arrangement and not nearly as romantic as the songs played at their wedding.)

Summary
After the events of the movie, Katara can't forget watching her friends and brother die, even if she was able to bring them back.
Years ago, tired of constantly traveling, Katara chose to stay in Republic City. Now, she asks Aang to stay with her. So he does, for as long as he can. But his duty as the Avatar, and his Air Nomad nature, make it impossible for him to stay in one place for too long.
Aang thought they could make it work.
He didn't realize that every empty night was making Katara wonder what their future would look like: an absent boyfriend becoming an absent husband, an absent husband becoming an absent father.
Then, one day, she leaves.
Or: glimpses of a post-movie Zutara story, told through Aang's eyes.

Summary
It can take some grit and hard work to grind out the sharp edges, but the effort can produce something that shines. A Zutara oneshot in which Katara learns a few new things about Zuko, including the fact that he may be very difficult to live without. Featuring unexpected teamwork, tense training moments, and more than a few awkward conversations. Canon compliant(ish), Book Three beginning sometime between TSR and EIP.
