"I meant that I am dead,” Edwin says bluntly, “You are aware of that, aren’t you?”
“Of course, my boy. I am not daft.”
“No, I did not think you were,” Edwin lies. The man is either being purposefully obtuse or he really is just incredibly daft, “I just-I-are you?”
“Am I..?”
“Dead?”
“Well I should think not,” Mr. Fell says then refuses to elaborate.
“So you are not a ghost?”
“What kind of ghost do you mean?”
“...Any kind?”
“Oh, then no.”
Edwin furrows his brow, “Why did you ask what kind then?”
“Curiosity.”
Edwin takes a deep breath that he does not need.Or

“We’re only here because watching Edwin and Mr. Fell have a go is a right laugh.”
“Well, I am so glad you find it amusing, Charles,” Edwin rolls his eyes, graciously ignoring the giddy look Charles directs toward Crystal, “Mr. Fell is a difficult man and not to be underestimated. Though, Charles is correct. You would do well not to interfere,”
“Why? Is this guy dangerous or something?”
“No, Mr. Fell isn’t dangerous,” Charles says confidently then pauses, “Well, not dangerous to us,” Another pause, “Well, not dangerous to us unless Edwin has done something to tick off Mr. Fell again.”
“Not recently,” Edwin replies, then thinks about the five year ban he was subjected to simply for creasing a page, “Though he does tend to hold a grudge,”Or
Edwin visits an old acquaintance for help on a case. It does not go well.

Summary
“April and I were just discussing the value of deception as a weapon in a ninja’s arsenal,” Splinter explained.
Mikey gasped, “Are you going to give her cuteness lessons, too, Sensei? That would be so rad. She’d be so good at it.”
“Cuteness lessons?” April said, a little offended. She didn’t need those, she was already damn adorable.
“Deception lessons, perhaps.” Splinter corrected delicately.
“Same thing, really,” Mikey said flippantlyor

Summary
“Blessed Spirit, we thank you for the gift of this child’s life. We are forever in your debt.” The whole village is kneeling now, even the tiniest toddlers flopped down on their stomachs doing their best approximation of a bow. “Please, won’t you give us a name to call you? We would like to properly express our gratitude.”
Oh.
Well shit.
(Where Zuko saves a little Earth Kingdom girl from drowning, the villagers think he's a Spirit, build him a shrine, and long story short, a fake story about the Blue Spirit who dances with dragons suddenly becomes very real.)
