Summary
Frank knew that she wasn’t his.
Mel King wasn’t his wife, she wasn’t even his girlfriend. She was his co-worker, his friend. That didn’t stop him from feeling white-hot pangs of jealousy every time a patient flirted with her at work. It happened more often than Mel herself even realized.
But Frank noticed every time.

"That fucking chin dimple," Santos had scoffed upon falling into her seat. Mel didn’t think much at first, just cracked open her seltzer. "No idea how many times I’ve pictured riding it to shut him up."

Summary
They’re in such a hurry to leave they both miss Whitaker asking, “Do you think they remember we were at their wedding?”
“Nope,” Trinity says, amused expression turning to one of disgust as she watches Langdon’s hand slip down to Mel’s ass when he leans in to whisper in her ear. “Do you think they had sex?”
"Definitely."
Mel wakes up in a stranger's bed with a wedding ring on her finger and no memory of the night before.
Except her new husband isn't a stranger at all. It's Dr Langdon.

“Ugh…it still hurts…”
She whined, arching into his embrace. Langdon made haste by removing his scrub pants, shuffling them low enough for his cock to spring out. Mel was practically salivating at the sight of him. He's huge and she wondered how he's going to fit inside of her.
“Let me make it better, then.”

Summary
Mel looked at him with her eyebrows lowered, clearly different from his face twenty seconds ago, when he seemed concerned.
“It is… it is good… but I… I lived my life around her and her world. She’s leaving me alone, and I don’t want that to happen. I don’t know how to live without her now… it’s not fair…” Mel looked at Langdon, her eyes filling with tears.
At that exact moment, with their eyes meeting and Frank not knowing what to say, they both moved at the same time, as if that movement had been planned. Mel leaned forward, lowering her head and curling into herself. Frank slid one arm under her head and used his other arm to stroke her hair. Mel was crying. She hid her face against Frank’s chest, looking embarrassed. She wasn’t touching him, and that detail worried Frank. He wanted her to trust him, and that made him doubt what he should do on that moment.

Summary
He can’t help but watch the side of her face. The set line of her brow, her lower lip tucked tightly between her teeth, the squint in her eyes. It all loosens — relaxes to elation — when she finishes, stepping back with a proud smile. Frank, unfortunately and because he wants nothing more than to bask in the glow of success, has to step further away and position himself at the computer again. Hoping to hide how tight his scrubs have suddenly gotten. He isn’t sure when he developed a kink for seeing Mel succeed at doing something, but it’s making his job (and other things) a lot harder than it should be.
How is he supposed to teach her if all he can think about is bending her over to reward her for a job well done?

Summary
"Jesus, Mel, is this for me?" Frank whispered, lowering his mouth to press a kiss to her collarbone. Mel whimpered as his lips seared against her already flushed skin. She felt impatient, squirming in his lap as he kissed against her neck, but she allowed him a moment to taste her soft, lavender scented skin as she ground down into his crotch.
"All for you, darling," she murmured, her hands slipping around his broad shoulders to play with the hair at the nape of his neck. "I've been a good girl for you. I didn't even touch myself this week."
"Perfect." He grinned into her skin, growing wet from his kisses as he mouthed his way down to her chest. "Y'know, I never imagined myself getting divorced. But even if I had, I certainly would never have dreamt of a gorgeous woman sitting in my lap moments after I signed the papers."
In the months following an accidental seduction turned illicit encounter, Mel has forbidden her and Frank from touching again until after his divorce is finalized. Neither expected this simple rule to be so challenging, but they find themselves determined to uncover ways around it as they grow more and more desperate to be physically reunited.

Summary
Mark one year post rehab, Langdon just want the day to past by, but Mel King had other plans.
A pirate-wrapped gift, a terrible note, and one vintage pocket knife later, Frank thinks the hardest part of his day might be surviving Mel’s sense of humor.
Then the ER goes into lockdown.
When a white supremacist group storms the trauma wing with their wounded leader, they refuse to trust Dr. Al-Hashimi and demand that Langdon operate instead. Not because he is the right doctor for the job, but because he is the kind of man they want to believe in.
Trapped between armed extremists, terrified patients, and the ugliest kind of trust, Frank has to survive the day without becoming the symbol they want him to be.

Summary
In the month since moving in with Trinity, Mel had started to rediscover, or rather discover, some things about herself.
Number one: She loved not watching Elf every single day, and also loved rom-coms. Her favourite so far was When Harry Met Sally.
Number two: She really enjoyed yoga. The living space in the apartment had enough room to roll out a mat, so Mel spent her mornings stretching in the sunrise. (Clothed, thank you very much. Dennis had scarred all of them one night when he told them about Dr. Abbot doing naked yoga.)
Number three: She was horny. She was so horny, all the time. She suspects it’s because she has the time to sit in her feelings now, but whatever the reason, Mel can’t go one day without making herself cum.
Number four: She prefers live-camming to traditional porn. It feels more intimate, and ethical.

Summary
“You can’t learn if you just keep staring at me, Dr. King,” he said, his voice husky, “we’ve been over this so many times.”
If Mel didn’t know any better she would think he was flirting with her. But there was no way. Especially not now, with a photo from his and Abby’s wedding staring down at them from its place on the wall above his headboard.
Still, Mel couldn’t fight the crimson blush spreading over her cheeks, his words lighting the match that started the wildfire between her thighs.
“Sorry,” she whispered, wiping her hands down her face.
“It’s okay,” he assured her with a low chuckle, reaching behind his head to grab her hands, the warmth of his seeping through her skin. “Honestly, I’m flattered.”

Things, it would seem, are finally looking up.

Summary
“Good, good. My ancestors would hate me for saying this, but when I was a whiskey drinker, I strongly preferred Tennessee whiskey. I like the sweet notes better.” He tells her.
“I never understood tasting notes in alcohol. If you like sweet drinks there are much better options than whiskey. I like a good Diet Coke or Dr Pepper on a night out.” That’s his girl, not only drug intolerant, but not much of a drinker either. Also not technically his girl, but let him have this.
Or: Mel calls Frank to pick her up after a night out and she loses her house keys, so he offers her his bed for the weekend.
