Minho was so smart, so beautiful, so funny and Changbin was just there. Surely she was just becoming a burden to her girlfriend. Maybe Minho was already aware of it, maybe that was why she hadn't asked about them moving in together. Was this all a build up for them breaking up? Was Minho bored of her?
Or, Some idiot at a party causes Changbin to question herself and her relationship with Minho, surely the solution is to distance herself from her girlfriend completely... Right?

Summary

Up on stage, the band starts up a jaunty tune and Changbin squints at their name, emblazoned on the drum set. “They’re good,” he comments, as a tiny paw reaches up over his thumb to sneak another strawberry from his plate. “Should we sign them?”
“I don’t know if you’ve realised,” a voice says before Minyoung can reply. “But your shirt sleeve is eating your strawberries.”
Changbin laughs before he turns and the noise dies in the back of his throat when he sees the man standing before him.
or: Hyunjin meets Changbin’s daemon on the first night. It takes a little longer for the opposite to happen.

I hope any new readers don't mind that I've turned this fic into a collection rather than leaving it as a one-shot. I've been doing a bit of a clear-out lately, going back through some of my older work and making changes that honestly feel long overdue. Looking at it now, I can see there were quite a few decisions that just don't make sense to me anymore, so this felt like a necessary tidy-up to make the story feel more like what I originally wanted it to be.
