Summary
In an effort to save Hell from future world-ending crash-outs, Charlie has convinced Vox and Alastor to meet weekly for drinks and talk things out. It's only 20 short minutes before Alastor has to rush off to do his radio show, but Vox has an idea. A very bad idea. But Charlie did say he should do anything possible to convince Alastor to actually talk.
What if...he spiked Alastor's drink? Just a little bit. Just to get him to loosen up.
What could go wrong?
"Greetings, sinners, and welcome to the show! I've got something very special in store for you tonight: an evening of music and storytelling you won't soon forget..."
***
OR: Alastor is tricked into couple's therapy with whiskey, dancing, and roofies.
***
OR: An exploration of nostalgia, forgiveness, what could have been, and what can still be. Written for the RadioStatic Reverse Bang, inspired by and illustrated with gorgeous artwork by Moth, and with musical selections to set the mood. (Podfic coming soon if there's interest.)

Summary
Alastor didn’t meet his eyes; his gaze stayed fixed on the gun in his hand as he opened the cylinder and tipped the remaining bullets into his hand. He looked at them for a moment, rattling them around with muted clinks before finally taking one between his fingers and slipping it into a chamber. “Have you ever played Russian roulette?”
Eyes wide, Vox couldn’t suppress his derisive snort. “Fuck no. Why would I?” He watched Alastor snap the cylinder back into place and give it a spin, the chrome flashing like a disco ball. Vox swallowed. “Have you?”
The smirk Alastor shot him was dark and dangerous, and he felt his heart clench. “Once. It was quite a rush.” With his thumb, he pulled the hammer back; there was a decisive click as it locked into place. “Fancy a game?”

OR: Old men will do literally anything but go to therapy.

Summary
Something is wrong with the Whittman boy; Alastor can see that the moment he sets eyes on him.
Driven by curiosity, Alastor toys with this peculiar creature, fascinated by the reactions he can draw from a boy both so like and unlike him. He doesn't yet know if he wants to teach him or ruin him, but either way, 13-year-old Vincent is a monster too intriguing to resist.
But it turns out there's more to this boy than it seems, and Alastor quickly finds himself in over his head and discovering things about himself he never expected. As the lines between mentorship and romance blur, Alastor begins to wonder if he'll regret taking on his too-eager apprentice.
--
OR: A meandering relationship study with lots of porn and a problematic age gap, and a healthier relationship dynamic than you'd expect. (Don't get me wrong--they're still psychopaths and it's still unhealthy in a lot of ways, but they have genuine affection for each other and everyone's basically happy.)

Summary
Vox shivered as Alastor touched his calf, walking the tips of his claws up Vox’s leg in a prickling, torturous line. “Why is it that the man who’s always taken everything won’t even try to take this?”
“Don’t,” Vox whispered, panic clawing at his chest as the red claw-tips reached his mid-thigh, even as a wave of desire surged up, desperately urging Alastor to continue.
Alastor cocked his head, regarding him with bright red eyes. “Don’t?”
Vox’s breath was coming faster, his vision swimming. “I—fuck, I—can we talk about this tomorrow? When we’re not drunk?” This wasn’t a conversation he ever wanted to have, but maybe if he delayed and distracted, Alastor was drunk enough to forget all about it in the morning. And if not, maybe with eight hours of sleep and some food, he could actually figure out how to address this without just blurting it out in the stupidest possible way.
“Hmm,” Alastor hummed, rolling his head side to side, then curving his mouth in a wicked smile. “No. We’re talking about it now.”
--
OR: Drunk Alastor wants to know why Vox won't make a move. It's because he's built like a Ken doll, but that's not a problem for Alastor.

Summary
At the next lingering glance, Alastor leans back in his chair, crossing one leg over the other. The action clearly makes Vox regret looking, and he snaps his gaze back to Valentino so quickly he may have pulled a muscle. Time to strike.
“Is it working?”
The way Vox tenses at Alastor’s question is gratifying, almost as much as the look of utter confusion on his face when he turns back. “What?”
“Is it working? This little demonstration—is it making you feel powerful?”
--
OR: Instead of just sitting in the cuck chair and glowering, Alastor doms the shit out of Vox.

Summary
Vox was giving him him one of those fond looks that was doing the strangest things to him, especially now that he was aware of it.
Had he always wanted to bask in Vox's presence and perhaps indulge in a bite or two?
His heart was still pounding and he was fighting the urge to move his jaw to chase the ache away. It was getting more and more tempting to just dislocate the whole thing and hope that did the job. It probably wouldn't.
This didn't feel new, it felt like some sleeping thing that had woken up specifically to bother him in the moment. Hopefully, it would go back to sleep.

Summary
Freedom loses its charm the moment Alastor enters his first rut cycle. With a hundred years of suppressed ruts to make up for, biological imperative becomes a leash all its own. Overcome by newfound urges, he finds himself drawn to the Entertainment District—guided by some forgotten inner compass to the promise safety, in shades of blue.
Only Vox has every reason to turn him away. And unless they can find a way to work through decades of resentment before his rut fully takes hold, Alastor may just be shit out of luck.

Summary
"Vox loved telling him about his favorite movies and, on occasion, subjecting him to them as if he were initiating Alastor into some sacred rite. He especially doted on his Marilyn Monroe—could go positively breathless talking about her. And that evening, Alastor had been just drunk enough to indulge him, wearing the faintest smirk as if he were doing the poor boy a tremendous favor."
or: Vox and Alastor bond over classic films in ways neither of them strictly planned.
