Summary
“Why would you give up your life for me like that? It doesn’t make sense,” he continues, laughing harshly. “You could’ve had a life, Pope. You could’ve gone to college. Fuck, man. I don’t get it.”
Pope could almost laugh, if he had the energy to find anything funny right now.
Because I don’t want a life without you, he doesn’t say. How could I breathe if you weren’t there? How could I ever sleep again if those cops had killed you? How could you think I even had a choice?
Instead, Pope sighs, keeping his eyes resolutely pointed forward. “What would you have done, JJ?” He asks, as if he doesn’t already know the answer.
--
or:
Pope and JJ have loved each other for a long time. The problem is, each of them thinks they've missed their chance with the other.
After a year of awkward distance between them, Pope is tired, and knows that it's time to figure their shit out.
He's always just a bit too late for the good things in his life, and he only hopes that it won't be true now.

When a magical accident causes these two nights to collide, Harry Potter is left torn between two worlds-- one where the entire magic world is relying on him to return and finish his fight, and another where he finally has the chance to meet his parents. He's simultaneously desperate to return and praying he can stay-- but for the first time in his life, it's not something he has to figure out alone.

Summary
JJ’s not sure how many times it’s happened. He’s confident the number is high, but there’s no way to be certain— it’s not like he keeps a running tally of all the times he’s died.
That would be a little morbid, all things considered.
All he knows is that no matter what happens to him, no matter how certain he is that his life should be over, he always wakes back up.
It would be concerning if it wasn’t so convenient.
Or,
Three times JJ wakes up from death without anyone knowing, and one time the Pogues find out.

Summary
“Don’t you ever do something like that again. Not for me.” Pope says seriously, his pained eyes never once leaving JJ’s face. Shaking his head lightly against the hands holding his cheeks, JJ sighs, the act painful against his bruised ribs.
“I can’t promise that.” He murmurs, and though his voice is low, he knows Pope hears him, because his face turns desperate. “Why not?” The boy responds, voice pleading.
And something in JJ shatters.
“Come on, Pope. You know why.” He whispers, squeezing his eyes shut.
This is it.
or,
After JJ takes the fall for Pope, the two of them reunite at midsummers and things come to a head. This goes along with the other work in this series, but it’ll probably make sense as a standalone.

Summary
Bruce skidded to a halt, breath hissing through his teeth.
Superman’s head came up sharply, like the sound of Bruce’s shock still meant something to him—and it was Clark, but he was different. Different lines on his face, a subtly different curl to his hair, and as he looked Bruce up and down his eyes blew wide.
Bruce’s hand dropped immediately to his belt, a chill sweeping through him. “Not our Kal.”
--
Bruce and Clark have been in a relationship since the founding of the Justice League almost twenty years ago. When the League tries to bring in a thief with stolen reality-shifting technology, Clark is accidentally exchanged with his counterpart from a universe that's almost identical—except he's married to Lois. And they have a son.As each side scrambles to swap their Clarks back, Bruce and Clark find themselves grappling with new questions about their life together, faced with the possibility of things having gone differently for not just the two of them, but their children—the ones they have, and the one they've never met. Along the way, they do their best not to to blow up their counterparts' lives by dredging up any long-buried feelings. (They may or may not succeed at that last.)

Summary
It’s been three months since Bruce accepted Tim as Robin, and every night Bruce still patrols alone while Tim microwaves frozen lasagna and finishes his algebra II homework. But Tim is tired of waiting to be ready, and takes up the totally safe, totally sane hobby of midnight streetfighting.
The new vigilante in Gotham takes notice.
