Summary
Buck stares at it until the letters begin to blur together, then slowly presses backspace. One word disappears. Then another. And another, until the text box is empty again.
Of course Eddie isn't home.
There won't be another evening spent stretched out on Eddie's couch, the documentary playing forgotten in the background because Buck keeps pausing every five minutes to add another fact he read somewhere online. Eddie would roll his eyes with practiced exasperation, muttering, "You know the narrator was about to tell us that, right?" while Christopher laughed from the other end of the couch, insisting Buck should just narrate the whole thing himself.
Those nights are over.
Home isn't Los Angeles anymore.
or: after eddie follows christopher to el paso, both he and buck convince themselves they're doing the right thing, even as they're falling apart without each other. it takes a drunken midnight phone call and a few long-overdue realizations for the diaz family to find their way back home.

I saw you hit the dirt and a world without you seemed like a horrifying possibility for a moment. And it made my heart nearly stop. There’s no reality in which I can live without you, I can’t, I won’t,” Eddie shakes his head firmly.
“And I think everyone loves their best friend. But I don’t think everyone loves their best friend like I love you,” Eddie says softly, reverently.
Buck’s mouth opens slightly as he gasps. His mouth is so pink, and his curls are a mess, mostly from Eddie’s ministrations. He looks sleep-ruffled and so hopeful. He looks like Eddie’s future.

By 9:14 AM the next morning, he has:

_ Emotionally compromised an entire fire engine,
- Held Buck hostage in radiology, and
- Turned a Level 1 Trauma Center into a live studio audience.The thing is, Buck would’ve handled this better if Eddie had:
- NOT proposed marriage in the middle of a gas leak,
- NOT immediately started flirting like a menace,
- NOT weaponized ER paperwork,
- NOT trapped him in a CT room,
- NOT weaponized eye contact,
- NOT somehow become hotter in a hospital gown, and
- NOT had an entire emergency department acting as witnesses.Evan Buckley, is, in a word, doomed.

Summary
AU where Louis Tomlinson attends the vigorous, demanding performing arts school: Guildhall in hopes to complete his theatre degree. He is a scholarship student, always having to work twice as hard to prove his worth which has caused him to feel resentment and anger towards his subordinate position.
Harry Styles is the wealthy, naturally gifted actor who effortlessly snatches all the main roles within the class. The complete contrast to everything Louis is.
Louis Tomlinson and Harry Styles have had bad blood and despised each other for the two years they attended Guildhall together, making each task a competition between each other.
In the final year, when Guildhall produces and performs an original play, Louis is heartbroken to learn the lead role has been been received to Harry and he's the second role. He's mostly terrified, however, when he realises he has to date Harry in the play as their characters. They come together through awkward stage kisses that transforms to hate sex, heated arguments, rehearsal times after lectures and baking carrot cake together.
