Summary
Augustin knows a good deal when he sees it, and he’s not stupid enough to waste a lovely fucking flat just because his flatmate doesn’t want to wish him good morning. And other than not being chatty, he is a paragon of housemate-ly virtues: he never leaves a mess in the kitchen, never plays loud music or watches TV in the living room til 3 in the morning, or has loud annoying sex on the other side of the wall. In fact, he is, apart from the absolute refusal to engage with Augustin, the perfect flatmate.

“So some idiot caused a scene and now we all have to give up a week of our lives?” Jess looked more annoyed than Randy had ever seen her.
“No, we have to give up a week of our lives because idiots like you talk back to customers and give them reasons to complain to corporate.”
Jess gaped at Hardy but said nothing, snapping her mouth shut and leaning back against Chris.

Summary
'The Rising Sun' was Niall Kennedy's attempt to purge a lifetime of pain through fiction. Instead, it became a publishing phenomenon, sparking relentless speculation about its autobiographical nature, questions he refuses to answer.
After publicly assaulting a journalist, Niall's career is on the brink of collapse. His editor offers him one final chance: attend an exclusive writers' retreat in Hawaii with his long-term partner, project the image of stability, and prove he's still worth betting on.
But when Alby leaves him days before the retreat, a drunken text message brings back the last person Niall ever wanted to see again, the man who inspired his bestseller and the one he's always believed was destined to destroy him.
Forced to pose as a couple to save Niall's career, the two men must survive a week under the same roof while the literary world searches for the truth behind the novel that made Niall famous. And in confronting the past they've spent years running from, they may discover that some stories can only be finished by living them.
