Indeed, Xiao realizes then, their lives are as long as the mountains are as old, but there had still come a day that the mountains had shuddered. The sky had fallen, plummeting from the heavens onto a broken altar, and Xiao had discovered that even the earth is not endless, that even stone will one day turn to dust.

Almost of their own accord, his wings lifted as though he was about to jump off the edge. Maybe he should. Surely he would be able to fly. It was what he was made for, and if he couldn't, then who was he? He'd built his legacy on it. Of course he could fly.
He looked over the edge. A net had been fastened a little ways up from the ground, held there by the green substance he knew Link used.
Revali swallowed his disgust. He didn't need a safety net. He'd just find somewhere else, and prove that to everyone.
