"No!" Eddie screams, sounding like the word was ripped from his throat, like he's the one who just got shot. There's a beat or two before Buck understands why.
On his side, a patch of dark red is slowly spreading across the blue of his uniform. He's looking down at it for a few seconds, like he doesn't understand what it is.
