“Why don’t you just ask around?” she asked him. “Heroes have stories and people are always eager to tell them. I’m sure any of the Greeks could tell you more about him.”
“It’s not a bad idea,” Jordan added. “It would be nice knowing exactly why he was part of the prophesied Seven. I know the Venus girl had sorcery and the Vulcan boy obviously had power over fire. But why Jackson? Just because they took a boat?”
Despite raising him on a shield, Romans don't know much about Percy Jackson, or even the Greeks in general. As the Legion attempts to recover from the wars, they find out there is far more to the Son of Neptune then they originally thought, and learn quite a few things about themselves along the way.

BREAKING NEWS: Camp Half-blood's Local Hero Forgets to Mention He Has a Life: Camp is in Shambles

Percy Jackson wasn’t trying to be an enigma, he was just living his life, which usually involved more explosions than the average teenager's. It wasn't his fault people apparently thought his personality began and ended with pointing a bronze sword at things.
Between surviving two world altering wars and trying not to fail senior year, Percy had picked up a few skills that he assumed were common knowledge. He figured the callouses on his fingers from an electric guitar were self explanatory, and that his ability to julienne a bell pepper without losing a thumb was just basic survival in Sally Jackson’s kitchen.
From kick-flipping over unsuspecting demigods to accidentally lecturing the Romans on crustacean taxonomy, Percy’s "secret" life is finally catching up to him. He isn't trying to be the International Man of Mystery, he just genuinely forgot to mention that he's a walking disaster of hobbies, hidden talents, and bisexual energy that even a Starbucks barista can't ignore.

"Please excuse my intrusion! I'm looking for my mother, Sudou Kayo," he starts awkwardly. "My name is- apparently- Ren."
"Oh, my. That's not right," Sudou Kayo remarks. "You must be mistaken, young sir. My Ren is right here."
