Summary
A collection of paper tumbled out of the record sleeve and onto the coffee table. Parchment of varying quality, scraps torn from lined notebooks; some folded into pocket-sized squares, others rolled into tight scrolls. Remus’s hands shook as he sifted through them.
—
In 1987, Remus finds the letters Sirius never sent to him, and loses what little hope he had of moving on.

“You know what?” Wei Ying said. “I think we should be friends.”
“Vulcans do not have friends,” said Lan Zhan. He was staring very determinedly at the screen in front of him.
Wei Ying frowned at him. “That can’t be right.”

Later, when he’s older, it’s this that A-Yuan will remember most: the stretch of silence, the two of them both dirty and shaking with fever, as he looked at Brother Rich, and Brother Rich looked back at him.

Summary
It is the first time that Merlin has heard Arthur’s name spoken aloud since he died. He shuts his eyes. “How can this be it?”
“It hasn’t ended,” Gaius says. He clasps Merlin’s hands. “Not yet.”
(After Arthur’s death, Merlin lives a life. A very long life, indeed.)
