Summary
He stood in front of the mirror again and slowly removed his helm. His hair was flat and damp with sweat, he combed a hand through it. Garroth just couldn't shake this feeling of nostalgia, he kept feeling like that prince he once was.
He didn’t look mature, he looked 18 again, a blubbering runaway. A kid who hurt his mother and brother by leaving selfishly. A child.
Selfish child, foolish child. Disgrace of a son.

Summary
Our story starts with four terribly exhausted companions who wake in an Agwé Tavern named The Crossroads. They’ve been traveling together for years, working together at the wandering carnival named Carnivàle Lecroux. Of course founded and previously ran by one Kremy Lecroux until the carnies finally became upset at missing wages and a complete lack of workers compensation. But now, these four have been wandering the streets of Agwé, the home of Kremy and his former employer Remy Garou.

“Looks like I bit you.” Will tilts his head to get a better look. All Mike can do is stare at him. His fluffy hair at the front, clumped pieces at the back where he’d slid his fingers in a mere few minutes before. His pretty green eyes that look hazel or even brown in this light, the dark circles he gets when he drinks framing them like intricate paintings. A satisfied, bloody smile.
Mike isn’t satisfied. He swallows thickly, choking down the words 'don’t you want more?'
Or: Will dresses as a vampire for a college halloween party, but Mike thinks his costume isn’t bloody enough. Will lets him fix it. Mike goes into a crisis.

Summary
For the record, Garroth didn’t intend to become an accomplice in an under-the-table trade deal. Things just ended up that way, circumstantially. Elderly women aren’t particularly great at inconspicuously smuggling goods, and Garroth will do anything to get out of the kitchen. So any moral ambiguity there is something he can worry about later, when it stops being convenient.
It certainly makes it easier to sweep things under the rug when the only other accomplice in the trade is a mysterious, cute florist who knows everything and nothing at all.
or
Garroth is a pretty decent pastry chef but an awful social navigator. Laurance is new to floristry but wise to everything else. Right now seems like the best place to figure things out. Maybe.

Summary
Phoenix Drop High's self-proclaimed heartthrobs, Garroth Ro'meave and Laurance Zvahl, used to be inseparable. But after falling apart during their sophomore year, they're now known as the school's fated rivals.
Garroth seems to be missing someone. Laurance is acting different, avoiding people and throwing himself into his work life.
Students are beginning to suspect that there might be more to this 'rivalry.' They're two weeks into their junior year and everyone is living for the tension between them, waiting for one of them to snap.
