Summary
When Will was fifteen, he and a first year medical student Hannibal were survivors of plane crash in the Canadian wilderness, leaving them waiting for rescue and resorting to drastic means of survival for a year and a half.
Twenty years later, the few survivors who made it to rescue are being targeted by someone being dubbed as the "Final Destination Killer." Now a reclusive adult, Will is asked to work on the case by the FBI, reopening old wounds and threatening to expose secrets he's been keeping for two decades.

Will huffs. “Close my eyes and visualize a sexual scenario in front of my therapist? Isn’t that bordering a little on the side of inappropriate?”
“If it causes you mental distress, shouldn’t I, as your therapist, be inclined to treat it?” Hannibal asks, his voice smooth and calm, seemingly unaffected by the idea. Suddenly, for a reason that Will doesn’t want to acknowledge, Hannibal being unaffected by his salacious desires makes him blanch where only a moment ago he wished the conversation had never begun.
During a late night conversation over drinks, Hannibal discovers that Will has a repressed shoe fetish and sets about deconstructing Will's shame about his desires.
