“Son, are you alright?” Sam blinked.
“Yeah, yeah, I’m fine. I need to go pick my brother up.” The sheriff looked him up and down.
“You’re bleeding, oughta go see the paramedics before you go after your brother.” Sam shook his head, ignoring the fact that the world swayed with it.
“They’re just cuts, I’ll patch them up in the car. I really need to go get my brother. You gonna be alright from here?” Sam asked, mostly out of politeness: he needed to see Dean alive with his own eyes, and if Dean or Mr Baird were injured, they’d need the Impala’s first-aid kit.

Summary
An encounter with a witch brings back Sam’s latent psychic abilities, triggering debilitating headaches and visions. Her spell releases an ancient, powerful demon named Razaezel from his prison in Hell. Along the way, they encounter other human agents of the demon and solve a number of different cases, even as they search for a cure for Sam and a way to stop the demon’s apparently inevitable rise to power. They deal with witches, psychics, con artists, ghosts, agents collecting souls on behalf of their demonic master, hellhounds, and far more besides, along the long road to salvation.
After interrogating a demon, Sam and Dean learn that Razaezel intends to recover the fragments of his power scattered across the world and consume the souls promised to him, in order to become powerful enough to become the next ‘new God’.
Chapter 9: Castiel finds a local case involving vampires… and someone with glowing green eyes which could indicate a link to Razaezel, though whether that is for good or bad, the boys will need to find out for themselves.
