Something’s not right. Brian’s not exactly sure what; either way, he was hitting all the chord shapes, picking what needed to be picked, and he was even using the tremolo! Hell, as far as he was concerned, he was nailing it— and so was John. John, and his shimmy-shammying, his bouncing, and his funky little baseline, Brian thought. The bassist’s even playing a completely different song. That’s a fucking remix right there! Tripping over himself, Brian finally struck out a few last misplaced notes, ending his disastrous solo, and lost himself in the darkness of the backstage.
Basically, the boys are fucking wasted, but still nail that concert.
