Summary
For Steve, things never went according to plan. He had never thought he’d be graduating in ‘86, the same year as Robin and Nancy, a year after be was supposed to. But he also never planned on letting anyone find out that he’s one of the kids from Hawkins’ Lab, that he’s like Eleven.
But now he’s spending his lunchbreaks with the Hellfire Club and finds himself befriending Eddie “The Freak” Munson. And maybe he also has a tiny crush on Munson, not that he’d ever admit that to anyone.
Hawkins being Hawkins, a year can never be complete without another threat from the Upside Down, and if there was one thing Steve had definitely not planned for, it was Eddie getting dragged into the whole mess alongside the rest them.OR: Steve is Seven and failed his classes causing him to have to repeat his last year of Highschool. He and Eddie become friends and maybe something more but then Vecna attacks and Eddie is pulled into a part of Steve’s life he never wanted him to be a part of.

Steve has to check in regularly after the military learns about him being attacked by the demobats in the Upside Down. On one of his visits there he sees something he wasn't meant to see, and gets someone back that he thought had been lost forever.
(aka the military found Eddie, who wasn't quite dead, in the upside down, and now he's trapped in their military base. at least, until steve figures it out)

Vecna is defeated, but not all of them have made it. To be more specific, Steve and Robin didn't make it.
But somehow, the WSQK broadcast is still running despite the studio being destroyed, and the radio hosts sound a lot like Steve and Robin.
In other words: Steve and Robin are trapped in the radiowaves and the kids try to get them out.

AU where Steve is Seven from Hawkins Lab and has powers similar to El’s. It starts at the end of season 3 when Steve is forced to reveal his powers to the Party and follows him in the aftermath and through a canon divergent version of s4.
The stories are connected so I recommend reading them in order!I plan for this series to have five works and decided to just put the vague plan here so you know what you’re in for:

5)another sun will rise - the aftermath of defeating Vecna(And adding this because someone asked about it: There will be some Steddie content when this reaches s4, I just want to establish Steve’s relationships with the others first so our favourite metalhead will have to wait for a bit longer)

It was really just his luck that a hulking monster lumbered out of the woods and directly onto his driveway. Just his luck that he threw enough parties when his parents were gone that the neighbors had long tuned out any noise that came from his yard. Just a nice cherry on top of the fucking cake that, even if anyone did hear him screaming when claws tangled in his jacket and pulled, Steve honestly wasn’t sure they’d have cared enough to bother anyway.

“I called your mom, by the way,” he says. “Told her I was picking you up.”
“Are you taking me back?” Dustin asks, nervously. He didn’t really consider that calling Steve to pick him up might involve Steve dropping him off back to Hawkins. He really doesn’t want to be there right now, he feels too much, everything is too much, too big, the future looming over him feels too intimidating.
“Not yet,” Steve says, and Dustin lets out a relieved breath. “I told her we can put you up for the night and then tomorrow we can figure out what to do, yeah?”
Dustin looks at him, the kind slope of his mouth, the worried lines on his forehead. He suddenly feels bad for upending Steve’s life like this. Surely he had plans for the day, maybe work or school, something he had to do that now has been interrupted by needing to save Dustin, again, but from himself rather than from alternate dimension monsters.
“Sorry, Steve.”
