Ladybug, saviour of local damsel-in-distress Adrien Agreste (and of Paris or whatever), suggests he gets a fake girlfriend to ward off his zombie fans. While lovingly holding him in her arms, of course. Adrien, far too comfortable in her arms, suggests it could be her.
Introducing your superheroine pretend-girlfriend to your strict, uninterested father is a bit harder than Adrien realises.

Marinette groaned.
For both years Marinette Dupain-Cheng and Adrien Agreste had done class photos, when they were 14 and when they were 15, Adrien and Marinette were near identical in height. The trusty old back-to-back check hadn't cut it. It was just one of those mysteries that would never be solved, like how Monarch could possibly launch eight akumas in three hours or when Andre Bourgeois would ever be kicked out of office.
But in the past year, Adrien had grown massively. An embarrassing amount more than Marinette. If Marinette stood to his back this year, she'd be like a gnome next to a prince. Weird. Kind of like someone else she knew.

Unfortunately, all of his best-laid plans crumble to pieces when he sees Fushiguro once again in a chance encounter. Making matters worse is his crazy cat Sukuna who, despite hating every other person in existence, has a sudden change of heart upon meeting Fushiguro and makes it very clear that he's the only veterinarian—and the only human, period—who's worthy of its time and affection.
