________It's been five years since the end of the second Sorceress' War with Ultimecia, and Seifer Almasy—branded as the traitor of humanity—has gone into hiding. Laying low in the slums of Esthar City wasn't exactly where he saw himself ending up in his romantic dream, but it's his reality now. He'd always planned on turning himself in eventually, so the truth of what happened with Ultimecia would die with him. But the blond's life is once again thrown into chaos when Leonhart shows up at his door. Every single one of Squall's friends has gone missing; including Rinoa, his fiancée. Desperate for someone he wouldn't feel guilty about dying during the mission, Leonhart finally tracked the brute down for help.
This story includes dark themes, new lore, new guardian forces, smut, Squall x Seifer slow burn, and an expansion on the story surrounding Hyne. As such, it's canon divergent, along with a lot of the core elements, but it builds off of that to add some lore from other final fantasy games.
