Lizzie is trapped. What was once a playful attempt at an assassination on Scott as per the games rules, ended in her being trapped in her brand new purgatory.
Joel just joined Hermitcraft!
Starting fresh in season 10, Joel is overjoyed. Previously, he and Lizzie had discussed what this would mean for them, as being a hermit is a very time-consuming thing, always building, always planing. And she had agreed, was overjoyed for him actually. A big toothy grin plastered on her face as she congratulated and reassured him she'll be fine. And yet, Joel was still hesitant to leave her for so much time. Granted, she can visit whenever she wants as Xisuma had whitelisted her, but she has her own projects on seperate worlds she wants to do.
Now, crumpled by the shrine he had built of her, Joel lays, wordlessly staring at the comm as he waits patiently for her reply. Everything is fine! He's only sent what, over a hundred messages? he's sure she'll get back to him soon, no matter how many days pass.

Jayce Talis is disillusioned and disheartened. He works a government job he hates, he hangs out with people he doesn’t like—beats being alone, though. Jayce is real bad at being alone since he returned from the frontlines with a broken leg and a broken mind. So, he much prefers drinking himself into oblivion most nights. He meets Viktor at the bar he frequents and Viktor pulls Jayce along with his charm and strange stories and Jayce wants nothing more than to hand himself over.
