Summary
Shadow didn’t have much going on in his life; it was simple and stable, as any older hedgehogs should be. By day, he would run his cozy little bookstore on the corner of Fifth and Doom, sipping coffee while catching up on his latest read. He would close by seven. Then, he retreated to his one-bed apartment to dye his quills midnight and cover the markings in the corners of his eyes with makeup before sliding on his other work uniform.
Umbra would emerge into the night to take on the role of a young Playboy at Club Rouge, a fan favorite, especially the favorite of Sonic—a high-paying guest whose crimson eyes and striking quills have made their way outside the flashing lights of the club and into his day life.

Summary
In the stretch of winter, Sonic and Shadow come together under the realization that they’re dealing with the same issue: Lonliness.
Slow season typically has Sonic hanging with his friends all the time, but now he has to bob and weave around their busy schedules. Rouge recently moved out of Shadow’s apartment with him, and he’s trying to be okay with living alone again.
But when Sonic kisses Shadow, things feel different. Exciting. They meld into this new relationship, navigating grief, quirks, and each other’s bodies.
