Summary
Objectively, there are worse ways to discover you’re a mutant. Accidentally killing someone you love, setting a building full of people on fire, destroying a highway bridge during rush hour, or leveling a small town would all definitely number in that category. Yet you still can’t help but feel like the universe had played the worst joke ever on you for your own discovery.
If you’d ever paid more attention before, or even just been more aware you might have noticed it sooner, but you had never been the observant type, and it wasn’t like you ever fell into serious danger. Unless you count the depression. That can be dangerous.

Summary
Despite his day barely having started, Peter feels exhaustion seeping into his bones as he scrolls through listing after listing. There are a few people needing movers, but so far they’re all looking for someone who comes with their own truck or van. A sign flipping job that promises to pay weekly catches his eye, but it’s only for two days a week with not enough pay to be enough by itself to make up what he’s missing. He keeps it open in another tab just in case he either can’t find something else, or something comes along that he could do in addition to that.
He’s about to click on yet another request for lawn service that he knows either he won't be qualified for or won’t offer much money, when a listing just below it piques his interest. It’s for a house cleaning job, which he’s seen a couple of already, but ignored as a last resort (he knows his strengths, and his cleaning skills are not among them) but what makes him pause is the title of the listing.
House cleaner wanted! Must be willing to accommodate unique request! EXPERIENCE NOT NECESSARY!!!

Summary
One half-foot in particular stands out to him. He’s noticeably taller than the other three, with messy chestnut hair. What strikes him about this specific half-foot, is his eyes. Even from a decent distance away, Senshi can see the look in his eyes, the way he seems to scan the crowd that’s eyeing them all right back, as if he’s the one judging and appraising. He’s dirty, absolutely covered in filth from head to toe, and clearly malnourished, but Senshi knows immediately that he’s found his prize.

Of course, his brain immediately went to the scientific aspects of it. How much could he dull his powers? Could he nullify them completely, or would that mess with his body more than it had before when he first began trying to block them? If he managed to do so, what might that look like? "I mean, yeah probably. I would have to adjust some things, and have E.V monitor it but -"
Wade's voice was more controlled when he spoke again. "Do you think you could outrun me without them?"
