Hajime’s head lolls to the side. His eyes flicker up to Gisei’s, dull and unfocused. It’s almost as if it takes him a second to register who Gisei is, but as soon as he does, his mouth pulls up in a lopsided smile.
“You came,” Hajime slurs.
Gisei’s lips press into a thin line. Of course I did. I can never fucking ignore you. “What happened?” Gisei repeats.

“You’re with the COI, aren’t you?” The man says accusingly, “You’re trying to kill me. My sentence has already passed, hasn’t it? I’ve done my penance. I’m not eating that, I won’t let you poison me. I was promised, you people promised me that you’d let me go if I…you promised you wouldn’t kill me!”
